What is MLC 2006?

The Maritime Labour Convention 2006 (MLC 2006) is an international treaty adopted by the International Labour Organization (ILO), often called the "seafarers' bill of rights." It consolidates over 65 previous ILO maritime conventions into one comprehensive instrument covering nearly all aspects of seafarers' working and living conditions.
