The Port of Fujairah is located on the east coast of the UAE, on the Gulf of Oman outside the Strait of Hormuz. This strategic location makes Fujairah one of the world's most important maritime hubs, particularly for bunkering (ship refueling), oil storage, and as an alternative loading/discharge point for vessels wishing to avoid Strait of Hormuz transit.

Fujairah is consistently ranked as the world's 2nd or 3rd largest bunkering port by volume, alongside Singapore and Rotterdam. It bunkers over 8 million metric tonnes of fuel annually, serving thousands of vessels transiting between Asia, Europe, and the Americas.
